Kuranda has several restaurants and cafes, and one of the pleasures of our cooler mountain climate is alfresco dining. Kuranda, nestled on a rainforest-clad mountain, is a lovely mix of odd surprises, colourful characters, and natural beauty.
The Original Rainforest Markets and the Heritage Markets in the Rainforest Village. Aboriginal antiquities, handmade leather goods, wood, and jewellery are available at stalls. Stallholders are eager to explain their trade, and international shipping is not an issue. Wandering buskers can also provide entertainment.
Kuranda Markets
The Kuranda markets are easy to find, with signage located throughout the hamlet. Both markets next to the Park cater to art lovers. The finest opals in the world, and what a collection! It does no one any harm to browse the bookstall while snacking on fresh Queensland macadamia nuts. A range of delectable foods staves off hunger. Your fortune will almost certainly be favourable! Kuranda produces a plethora of unusual mementoes for both young and old. There's music in the air, so request your favourites and watch the portrait artist work his magic. Honey, tropical fruit juices and ice cream are all delicious ways to end a lovely market visit.
